Hi All,

I've recently completed a plug-n-play power supply replacement for the EII.  It can be found on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/266673764070

I first needed a replacement PSU for an EII back in ~2018.  At that time, Abstrakt Instruments was still selling their replacement PSU.  It worked flawlessly (although it took them 2 months to send it to me after I had paid), but they have since stopped production.  Recently, I was asked by another person who had used my Emax PSU replacement to build a drop in replacement for the EII.

The footprint, mounting holes, and connectors are identical to the original which allows for easy, trouble-free replacement.  The input and output connectors are labelled with their respective names and/or voltages, which allows for quick identification and troubleshooting in the future.  The only 'modification' required is to cut and remove the voltage selector switch wires, or coil them up and zip-tie them out of the way.

This design is intended to be very efficient, while providing ample output current.  I decided to utilize separate power supply modules for this design that are fully encapsulated.  This greatly improves safety as there are no exposed hazardous voltages.  The use of these modules and surface mount components reduces construction time and cost.

Power Supply Specifications:

Input: 100-240VAC

Output:
+5V @ 6A
+12V @ 1.25A
+13.2V @ 1.4A
-15V @ 0.67A

Feel free to reach out with feedback or any questions.

Hi

Vauw, very very cool and good looking PSU. Nice work.

If I hadn't already bought replacement EII PSU's I would go for yours.

Maybe I need Emax PSU's in the future. Would you consider making those?

Best regards Brian

Hi Brian,

Apologies for my delay.  I do offer an Emax PSU replacement.  It fits the Emax, Emax II, and EIIIXP.  You can find it on eBay here:

I also just realized I posted the update about the EII PSU in the Emax II technical issues category  Roll Eyes ...
