I have a very nice EMAX II here which I've had for some 10 years now with an interesting history which I'm hoping can find a new good home.
Its a model 2212 (Stereo 16-bit SE model) built circa 1992 which was originally upgraded to 8Mb.
A few years back I retrofitted a compact card system in place of the hard drive so it runs silently and much cooler and able to store up to 100 x 8Mb banks.
On the technical side the only thing that is not perfect is the LCD backlight which is working but is very dim with age. In normal lighting conditions this is not a problem.
There is a curious convex domed shape melted into the top left of the front panel for reasons I will probably never know. It doesn't show that much and doesn't really let the appearance of the instrument down too much as bar the slightly yellowed keys its in great condition for its age.
The instrument was originally owned by DM's Alan Wilder which I believe was used in his private studio until it was later handed down to his step son Jason Young.
I am not in a huge rush to sell this and so I'm open to sensible offers.
