It's probably one octal buffer but it could be a couple.

hi,
you have to see if any of the outputs are permanently 'latched' up to 5v
what about swapping the analog audio board over and seeing that makes a difference? then you can isolate the problem to the audio board and the octal on there.

how do i check if they are latched with a voltmeter?

i am nervous about swapping the audio board because both machines have a different sound and the other machine has a nicer sound and the one i made all my beats on
