Hi to all,

It seems I have the "data & volume sliders stuck at 000" problem many have known in the past but none of the solutions I found in the forum worked, I tried:
- Master/8/3
- Master/8/0/1358/2 (here I get Ped000 - Dat000 - Vol000 - Lwh000 - Rwh000)
In both cases all fields of data & volume sliders are stuck at 000 and the digits on the screen are kind of blinking/agitating like someone else is moving another slider somewhere cancelling and resetting at 0 any message from the front panel sliders....
- verifying PSU calibration
- swap memory SIMM cards
- checking the flat cable
- checking the sliders in terms of output voltage (I get 0V when down and 4.90 when up).
I even unsoldered the sliders to check they were working correctly and they do.

So I'm out of ideas now, would any of you have any other suggestion by any chance ?  Grin

Hi, the woobleing is normal, its just the "hum" and noise on the line goig to the converter. It means that the A/D is working, otherways, you would get nothing.
Retry
Master/8/0/1358/2
Move the data slider, put it the lowest as possible, = Enter
The highst possible + enter
Save : Y

Check the cabling, by yourself a yukulele...

I also have the, "data & volume sliders stuck at 000" problem.  In other words, when I perform the following steps, none of the sliders, wheels or pressure respond:

1. Click the Master button
2. Select 8, Special
3. Select 0
4. Enter the magic code, 1358
5. Enter 1, wait for the test sequence to display the screen where you can operate the wheels, sliders, etc. and see the values change.

As mentioned above, when I get to the final step on my EIII, none of the sliders or wheels change value.  Prior to reseating the cards in the cage, the wheels, etc. worked so I assume I have a bad connection somewhere.

I think I fixed it.  Once I removed each card, cleaned the contacts, gently pressed on each of the socketed chips, reseated the cards in the card cage,  and carefully reconnected the ribbon cables, the EIII jumped back to life!
