New Emax II User

Hi guys,

since yesterday I am a new Emax II User 

Could someone of you help me with this questions, please:

1. I tried to connect a Syquest 135MB drive to it. After booting from Floppy I pressed "Drive Select" and the Emax seems to find it but says "no EMAX II drive". This is right but I didn't find an option to format that drive. What am I doing wrong? (I have other Akai Samplers which work perfect with this drive). Are there any limitations?

2. The earphones could be much louder (Volume set to max, headroom to zero). Is that normal? (it's ok, but I know other volume levels from other samplers).

Hi Buddy!

In this forum, "EII" means "Emulator II" not Emax II.
There's a pretty active Emax (1&2) dedicated Yahoo-group. They will surely help you out concerning your issues.

But maybe somebody here can also help you - I can't.
