I just came across a floppy labeled "UNIVERSAL SOUND TEST" "Service Department 1990" "SOFTWARE VERS. 2.0"
It is a factory floppy with the green EMAX II logo on it.
Anyone seen one before? I am assuming it is similar to the EIII one.

Great.
Would it be possible to take a full raw disk copy of it (on a PC with OmniFlop software), before it gets damaged ? As far as I remember this UST disk image is currently only downloadable on the internet for Emax-1, but not for Emax-II. I think some people are actually still looking for the Emax-II version on some other forums (or this forum)
You seem to have it  Wink
I hope you can make a copy and upload it to e.g. the Emax Yahoo group.

In Omniflop, I am not seeing an Emax II format. Can I just go with the regular Emax 1 format?
I did it anyway and it seems to have written a new disk and saved the image.
Standard image type right? (.img)

Yes, Emax-I format is fine. It should result in an image with size 819200 bytes.
The one you created should be fine.
I hope you can upload it somewhere, e.g. Yahoo Emax group... (you can also send it to me and I can upload it...)
Thx !

Confirmed. It did work.
If you boot the Emax with this floppy, you get a rather discomforting flashing message stating "WARNING: Recalibration Required" or something to that effect.
If you boot from HD and just load the bank from floppy, you do not see that. Just all the test presets.
Neat-o.   Smiley

I also would love to have a copy of this disk. Midipuppies, will you be able to post it somewhere?

Great find!
