EII vs Blofeld

I was using my EII as a master key for my blofeld wich worked fine the first time. Second time i first switched the EII on and then the Blofeld, and the Blofeld crashed. I thought it was wrecked for sure. it took a wile before i figured it out. I can use the EII as a master for the Blofeld, but i have to put the MIDI cord in after i turned both machines on. Still, it behaves a bit strange but it doesn't crash. Anybody experienced similar problem with other gear?

probably the blofeld chokes on exclusive or?

Lots of blofeld's are down ore in the repairshop.

maybe something with that blofeld kind of gear.  Maybe you put a masterkey - thing between the modules like that vintage oberheim gear.
