I don't know if any of you have seen this... But its an emulator II without the keyboard...
It was on Yahoo auctions in Japan... I've seen the rack one, but not this abomination!!!
Heres where I found it: http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2011/04/e-mu-systems-emulator-desktop-version.html

notice how the script is labelled on the left hand side and air vents along the whole back of synth.

mine is labelled on the right hand side and air vents only 9 of them...mine is serial 214.

That's normal.
It's a difference between early and late EIIs.

Hi Guys,

i think that´s a great fake! If i ´ll cut my E II Housing obove the wheels, i´ll get a hole (to feed) in that part of the front, right?

And where the keys have been, there will be a hole two, that i have to fill up.

If you take a look at that front, you´ll see the Photoshop paintings.

Great work.

Greetz

Had wondered that, you must have better eyes than me.... although if touching up, you'd think they would have done this to the area of worn plastic near the buttons too.

I believe thats the photo compression. I really doubt someone would take the time to photoshop an EII without a keyboard. I mean, like the oberheim xpander and yamaha dx-something desktop module. But seriously it is strange, and I see no point in making an emulator like that. But if you look to the left of the serial number sticker, there is another, maybe from some backwards 3rd party company!

Plus it was on an online auction! It must have been real to have been sold. If you were trying to scam someone looking for an EII, why would you fake a keyless, strange one with a worn rediculous label. (plus after conversion it appearently sold for a little over 600 USD)

Maybe,

but does the buyer really get this piece? Deceivers are a lot in the world.

what a shit...if the keyboard is not needed, you also can place the EII in 45° an hide the keys under a wodden board etc.
