Hey,

my machine shows strange pitch. Sometimes it changes pitch while playing and it responses with much latency to pitch changes via the on board pitch-wheel, too. This behaviour doesn´t accour when using an external midikeyboard.

Any ideas?

Best regards
Jan

Try to recalibrate your controls (sliders,wheels...)

Should be in the master control section somewhere... look for it. 'Special menu' or something like that, can't remember precisely right now...

In the case of Jan´s EIII it is not fixable with a recalibration!

It is only fixable by cleaning and reconnecting the cablejack from the wheels to the Mainboard!

I know it, because he bought "my" EIII  Cool

Mine has this problem too once in a while.
And indeed, I also have to push or reconnect the cables between wheels and main board to solve it.

Just like my EII, I'm not using screws anymore to open/close my EIII unit; these samplers have to be opened and closed too much ... but ... I love them  Grin

Thanks a lot!

I´ll keep the screwdriver next to the machine after fixing!

Chris, don´t worry. "Your" EIII is still in the same shape as you sold me.

Happy new year!

Problem solved by reconnection of the wire. Lips sealed
