EMU II+ HxC won't load HFE files

Hi everyone,

I have an Emulator II that I just finished repairing and I installed an HxC rev
F. I followed all the directions but the EMU just won't load my .hfe files. I
have a few different images on the SD card and none of them work. I have some
that are only firmware files, one that I converted myself from an emuiifd file
with an OS overlay in the hxc software, and one that I downloaded from a forum
where someone converted a file to help another user solve a problem that sounds
like the one I'm having. If I have the HxC as the only drive in the EMU it just
says insert diskette, and if I boot on a floppy and then try to load from the
Hxc I get a message that says "INSERT PERF DISK AND PRESS ENTER'. I've tried
different jumper settings and everything else and I still don't have any luck.
Anyone have advice for me? Do I have a defective HxC?

Which hxc jumper settings are requierd for the EII?

A while ago I have written a quite extensive document about using the HxC in an Emu Emulator-I and Emulator-II.
This document was written before the release of version F of the SD HxC, but I guess there's no difference regarding the cabling, configuration and jumper settings.
I will update it once I have ordered and received a rev F - for now I hope you can find solutions in it for the problems you have.

Now i have a little success

By switching on the EII the "emu... .emuiifd" will load.
if i choose anyother hfe-file to load, the eii edisplays "disk not ready"

Any idea?

OK, problem is solved!!!

the reason was the emuiios.emuiifd file from the HxC-Zip from HxC2001-Forum.

Made my own file and now it works all fine
