Hi,

My EII+ has a certain amount of noise and buzzing in the outputs.  It's not overly loud, but slightly annoying.  Is this a common issue?  What is the fix for this?  Any info appreciated - Thanks!

Check the ADSR on the filters.... Some people had sustain and release at maximum after a short sample, so the filter was open and = noise

Thanks for the response Dr C.  This is more like a slight constant buzz, maybe a grounding problem.  It is there even with the volume knob is down all the way.  Maybe it could be improved with a filter on my AC power.

:)Well I fixed the problem by running it into my mixer via a direct box and xlr cable.  Now it's completely quiet and sounds great - fantastic!

Mine is a Whirlwind Director DI

I was prompted to try the DI by reading this:

http://tweakheadz.com/war-on-hum/

By the way, I have quite a bit of old gear (well, all of it is old gear Wink but only 4 devices have any buzz in their outputs:

EII (was the worst)
Juno 60
Kurzweil K2000
Lexicon LXP 15

I will see if DI's can fix the rest of it....

After replacing the power supply, the noise problem is gone.  I no longer need the DI box and can go straight into the mixer. Grin
