I wish I had the money to build a new 12bit sampler based of the Emulator 2 sound.

Get Universal to model the analog stages and put in real 12 bit converters!

I made this in my 3d program it's really rough but fun to think about!  Tongue

Hell yea!

the closest thing that comes to mind is the Linn Drum II

http://www.davesmithinstruments.com/products/linndrum2/

maybe with a keyboard controller attached of course.

I'm running the E2 software with the Xmidi 2x2 interface (required dongle)
and it's one cold puppy.

i dont like few things in your idea but all in all is good

- i would add every analog parameter a fader + 4 asignable for digital editing...
- avoid DVD roms...direct to stick or flash is better
- smaller display please  Grin Grin Grin
- no more than 16 poly couse more is not fun
- max 4MB on 12 bit
- also no windows inside hehehehe

I use Cinema 4d for my 3d stuff.

I was thinking if I were to make a business model to try and get investors who would build what?

I was thinking Black Lion Audio to build the output section with 12bit converters.

Universal Audio to model all of the E2 internals.

Have the ability to load all EMU sounds.

I would swap out one of the DVD drives for CF,SD and USB sticks.

Make it a touch screen.

I would have an interal HD and a couple of gig or RAM.

Make it reliable and road worthy.

What else?
