Hi all,
I just bought an EIII from another forum member which shows a couple of stange software behaviours.

In all digital tools that require adjusment of length like looping, digital delay etc. it's impossible to adjust those either by the data slider or the panel.
Instead the number go down to a fixed number with popping noises and stay there.

Also there are other bugs in the digital domain like a non-working appegiator.

The analog processing works fine though.

Anybody else ever experienced anything like that?

Cheers

First, try to recalibrate it, especially the data and wheels.
If I remember well, its Master/Special/ Huh

If this doesn't work, try memory test :

Master 8 0 1358 2

Hi Dr. C,

thanks for these hints.
I did the memory check and there were no errors.

And guess what... after the memory check, there are no jumps in the numbers any more.

I can't say I do understand, but it works now! ;-)

Thanks for your help, I guess you will see me here more often in the next months.

Dr. C,

In Digital Tools, when I use Resampling, my EIII will time out.  It will sit there and process and process for minutes on end.   Is there a way to cancel the process when it does this?  Besides just shutting the machine down?

Don't lecture me, just let me know what's up.

thanks

What means "lecture me" ?

No, I don't know anything like that. I made once a mod for a guy with a little switch wich was restarting the computer by resetting the processor, just like a shut down and power up, but without the electrical stress. I don't see any other way to do this.

Sorry.

PX-7, you are welcome like all the others. I am sometimes quite "acid" but NEVER mean, never wanting to hurt anyone.
You know that I'm french, don't you ? Grin

Your questions are welcome and I take them as a challenge (a nice one, I mean).

Try it on a very short sample and wait and see if it works! It can take ages if you are doing this with long samples.
