Hi all,
do you know anybody in Germany who has experience in repairing EIIIs and still has spare parts?

I do have a faulty voice and a very dark display.

Thanks in advance

Where are you located, in Germany ? Its a wide country !

The first place I think about is Amptown in Hamburg.

There are some other people (I forgot the name) in Frankfurt, but it would be easy to get their name by the yellow phone pages (professional)

Yes, I remember, its "Offenbach" our maybe : "Hoffenbach" ? In Frankfurt suburbs ?

But you are maybe in Berlin, or Munich ?

Hi, I'm living near Munich.
I would like to know if somebody already had any experience with EIII repairs in Germany.
There is e.g. Synthesizer Service Department which is run by the former tech of Synthesizer Studio Bonn.

Cheers

Hello softflow!

It is very difficult to find spare parts for the EIII in germany.

www.midi-rakete.de

has the lcd display

www.pms-electronics.de

0571/646000
Ask Christian Schumann if he still can repair EIII´s.
A few month ago, he told me that they have still a few spare parts.

www.studio-repair. de

Nikolaus had repaired "GUL DUKAT´s" EIII a few weeks ago. But I think he has no spare parts!

"Grüße"

Hi to all.

I think I fixed about E3's, about 800 or 1 000 times, all together.
I wrote this sentence this way because I fixed some machines several times, one about 30 times because of the owner wich was a real asshole, and the record is 54 times for the same E2 !

I think I have replaced about, for all the repairs :

2 microcontroler cards and fixed about 8 of them
1 or 2 memory simms
around 50 47HCT244 replace for 74LS244 (IC240) on the processor card
about 50
40 NCR5380 (Hard disk controler)
Most of the hard disks
200 sets of flat cables (the ones going to the output board)

Why this list ? Just because the E3 is a damn reliable machine but it suffers from conception. If you consider the number of repairs, according to the number of components changed, you can see its quite a low quantity. Most of the faults are contacts, I have maybe changed as well 4 processor boards and 2 analog output boards.

This is why I asked what's wrong to these people in Germany.
