Hi,
I was given a non working emax II. The internal floppy drive doesn't work. From the research I've done I know that I could track an original floppy drive MITSUBISHI MF353B (not easy). But what's not clear to me is if I could replace the non working floppy drive with an emulator (floppy, smart drive or usb). From what I've understand you still need a working internal floppy drive. Am I wrong ? Do I have other options ?
Thanks for your help.

If anyone is looking at this old thread and has a similar question, I can say for sure that the floppy drive on my EmaxII died, so I run the sampler off of a SCSI Zip100 drive. All sound banks contain the EmaxII OS, so as long you have at least one sound bank on the Zip drive, you're good to go.
