Hoping this is an active group. I just picked up an Emulator III and it is frozen on power up. Screen is just blocks, A few lights are on but no changes with any button presses. The hard drive comes on after maybe a minute or two (strange), and the disk drive down not seem to want to power up. I'm also a little concerned why the previous owner has the "A,B,C,D" cables jumbled. Seems like intuitively they should go in order. Has anyone been through a blocked out screen issue? I'll attach a few pictures as well.

yes, PSU looks ok.

second - check and clean all the cable connections, disconnect all cables, clean contacts and the put them back.

third - carefully pull out memory and cpu boards, inspect them for "burns" microcracks etc, clean contacts and pull them back.

also, just noticed - voice outputs wiring is incorrect, see the correct picture:
this won`t affect the boot sequence, but please also send a picture of boards wirinng

Yes, I noticed that too. The engineer in me was wanting to swap those to "ABCD", but didn't get to it yet since it I figured they had no issue with boot up. I'll get some pictures of where they tie in to the main boards.

My intuition tells me - try to check this cable connection first:

I didn't get to it last night, but I may slide that board and and clean up both cable ends as well.
