Like an idiot, I just reformatted my internal HD with non HD software. According to the disk suppliment on the Emulator Archive, if you do this, then you need the correct disk software to put back on it. HELP! The unit boots from the HD now, but will not recognize that there is in fact a disk there. All I have id the 3.1 on floppy.

Thanks so much!
Check the H.D. manual and it's the last thing it warns of!

So, I got this fixed!
If anyone ever has this problem, you need to boot from floppy with VERSION 1 software only. I have ONE disk with it on, and that is the only one that will let you access the H.D.
Then, save the software back onto the H.D. and that's it!

Can anyone here sell me a copy of the Emulator 3.1OS on a 5 1/4 Floppy Disk. I just bought an Emulator from a guy but he did not have any sound or OS disks. I can pay with paypal for the OS Disk. The Emulator I got is the HD model is there any Images of the OS disk out on the internet? Does any one have a EMXP images of Emulator II OS Disks? If anyone is willing to sell me an OS or direct me where to download an image please email me at rtechone@gmail.com. I know that route66 sells OS disks, but I have read that they take very long to ship and have terrible service.

Thanks,

You will definitely need a physical floppy disk.
Downloadable images with the OS on them are not available...
...orl to be honest they may be available (as far as I know all soundbanks on the Universe Of Sounds Volume 1 have the OS included) but there's currently no way to copy them to EII floppy disks or to the EII hard disk. So they are useless...
