Hi there, I'm looking for the slap bass sound found on It's called a heart from Depeche Mode and I think also What is love from Howard Jones. I've been thru all my library, emax library and I couldn't find it.
Can someone at leat point me to the disk name or preset name?

Thanks.
Augusto.

Mmm, I don't think so. I've been using my DX7 2fd for 5 years now and I've never came close to anything like that. FM basses are different.
I remember someone saying one that it was the slap bass preset from the EII

I have it (or similar) on my DX21. Simply called slap bass.

Whatever it is originally, I think it has been processed afterwards in the DM song.

What about Howard Jones What is love? You can easily distinguish it's same sound.

Is there any software that helps filter out ( not an eq) unwanted freqs/ parts from a sample to get the one you want. I think I saw something like this with the EmulatorX software.

Thanks.

Well, seems I've found at least the name of the preset. It is Bass Synth, strange no one here knew it. This is a video where the sample is used and the owner revealed the name.

I had Edo's demo as my ringtone for months! LOVE that song.

So, is that preset a factory? Would test my disks but you all know my EII is out of action. If not, does anyone have it as a sample? I'd like to use it with Reason.

EDIT: Found a few EII 'Synth Bass' samples on the HD, not sure where they came from originally, but although similar, they are still quite a long way off 'ICAH' or Edo's demo.

Is There any possibility to re-upload this sound please ?
I have all the sounds of the Depeche Mode It's Called a heart song (except this one). If somebody want them in exchange of the bass sound, it's not a problem !
