E-mu Emulator Sampler User Forum for the EIII EII EI and EIII XP - Recent Posts

 Hi, I'm Billy from Singapore.  I just recently acquired an emax II Rack and and Emulator III.  Can't wait to fool around with this.

I'm a live sound engineer for the past 34 years but got my start at a young age programming synths and samplers from about 1986 before i switched to doing sound engineering instead.

Now I'm getting back to fooling around with whatever I can afford to buy from the past.

In my case it was fixed by replacing the ribbon cable between the panel and the CPU card.

I'm working through a very similar problem, except mine is the Preset Management LED.  I was successfully able to jumper the LED so that when the Master button is pushed, the Preset Management light works, so I know it's not the LED.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey community!
I am looking absolutely everywhere for the Emulator III's IC27 (aka IP374 Chip Select) JEDEC file.
My Emu will never boot up again if I can't find this file.
Could anyone send me it, or just put it here? so others in despair like me may beneficiate from it...!

Read my post on EII won't boot.
Check the values of the pitch and mod wheel pots if they are out of range they will damage IC27 which will cause it not to boot.
If the pots are out of range you will need to adjust their values first then replace IC27.
It took me almost 2 months to track this issue down with mine.

I bought Blue Swells and all of the Recollection banks that have been released so far.  I'm very happy with them and appreciate the extra programming the author puts into the sounds!

I look forward to what he comes up with next!

Just to follow up on this thread, I think I found changing the extension to be unnecessary.

I also found I didn't have the termination setup correctly.  I still have the the compact flash installed as I like the idea of having a workspace available regardless of which SD card I have installed.
