I'm trying to install a Gotek drive and am running into problems.  I formatted the thumb drive FAT32 and the Gotek displays the HFE files, but the EII will not boot.  I'm pretty sure the HFE files are good because I copied them from an SD card used in a Lotharek floppy emulator.

I tried using EMXP to create disk images from the HFE files and changed the extension on the resulting files to IMG.  The Gotek recognized the IMG files but ERR*31 was displayed by the Gotek.

What am I missing?

I found the issue.  My FF.CFG file was wrong.  here's what worked:

# Uncommented options cannot be overridden by settings in other config files.
