Please excuse the obvious question, but does anyone know if the Emulator III has a transposition limit (up or down)? I searched the manual but found no reference to limits on how many octaves a sample can be transposed.

When you sample a new sound into the EIII at root C3, it gives you the option of transposing it within the range of A-1 to C7. I tested a new sample in a blank program and set the lowest note to C0, and the downward transposition seems to work fine. But the upward transposition only goes as far as F#4; every single note above F#4 plays the sample at F#4 pitch.

Is this "normal" EIII behavior, a software bug or a hardware problem? Any ideas?

Hi Chris:

Ah, it all makes sense now! Should have looked in the Epilogue! Thanks!
