EMXP can perfectly read EZ2 files and convert each of its banks to SF2 files
In EMXP v2.11, this can be done as follows:
* Store the EZ2 file in the \images folder of EMXP and start EMXP. Select option 1 --> select option 5 --> select option 1 --> (select the Alan Wilder EZ2 file and press enter) --> select option 1 --> (select all banks by pressing A then enter) --> select option 1 --> (for each file, an EB2 bank file will be created, you have to provide names for each of the EB2 files)
* Go back to the main menu (press ESC a few times). Select option 1 --> select option 1 --> (select all Alan Wilder EB2 files from the previous step and press enter) --> select option 4 --> select option 7 --> (all EB2 files will be converted to SF2 files, you have to provide names for each SF2 file)
The SF2 files can be found in the \images folder.
(the next version of EMXP will probably support direct conversion from the EZ2 file's banks to SF2 banks without having to create EB2 files in between...)
You can also convert the samples of each bank on the EZ2 file to WAV format.
In EMXP v2.11, this can be done as follows:
* Store the EZ2 file in the \images folder of EMXP and start EMXP. Select option 1 --> select option 5 --> select option 1 --> (select the Alan Wilder EZ2 file and press B to get the banks) --> (select ONE bank and press S to get the samples) --> (select all samples by pressing A then enter) --> select option 1 --> (each sample will be converted to WAV, you have to provide names for each WAV file). The procedure must be repeated for the other banks of the EZ2 file.
The WAV files can be found in the \wav folder.
I hope this helps; once you get used to the "old style" user interface, it's pretty easy to use EMXP
