Hi, I just got an EIII recently. Since 2 weeks it acts strangely. I hear a rattle noise in the voice main board.
Then all voices are gone through the Main output and no sound anymore. After some times it comes back in and out.
Or is it the SCSI board ? Any solution?

Take it to an electronics technician and have it bench tested.

It?s a common fault. At least of the separate voice outputs are all still working.
The relay that controls the stereo output isn?t working anymore due to a faulty flat cable.
Option 1: replace the flat cable
Option 2: bypass the relay

I chose option 2 at the time because I didn?t knew that the source of the problem was the flat cable.

You?re going to have to search the forum to know which flat cable to replace. It?s in one of Dr C?s posts.
