Can you post any info on what the problem/fix was for this issue?  My friend has an EII with similar looking damage on the molex connector.

Wow. That looks rough. You are going to have to replace that Molex connector at the very least. The pins on the board should probably be de-soldered, cleaned and re-soldered back on. You might want to check the voltages when you have it all hooked back up again as it almost looks like a surge or short did that kind of damage.
There is a user on here called Dr. C. He would be your best bet to consult this problem. He was an E-mu service guy for years and has seen this many times. It just looks like a short has happened to me at some point.
