Hi all, proud new owner of a near mint Elll. Unfortunately I've had very little time to enjoy it, since I've had to take it in to be serviced.
My tech is 90% sure he has the tech manual somewhere, he's worked on them before(years ago)but it may be buried someplace in the storeroom and so far he can't locate it.
Does anyone have one they could share so I could forward one to him in case he can't find his?

Been lurking here for months while deciding if I would make the Emulator plunge or not. I have to say you all are a great group who are very supportive of your fellow emulator lovers.

thank you

Stop digging in the manual ! It will not help ! So many problems are not referenced, you wouldn't imagine...
What is wrong with your machine ?
Be specific. "I makes stranges sounds" (for example) is not of a good help.

Hi dr.c..I've already taken it into the shop to have it diagnosed and my technician would like the schematics to aid in this.
I have been experiencing one of the stereo channels dropping out on one of the voices, I believed it was the 8th voice. Before taking it into be serviced I checked the ribbons and made sure they were snug and it didn't help.
I double checked to make sure no channels were disabled and they were fine.

The second issue was, I was monitoring by headphones, after I attached my Iomega Zip drive and formatted a disk, I lost all audio coming out of the stereo mix jack. I also checked one of the individual channels by running it into my mixer and that also had no audio.

So since I no longer have the emulator here, I would like to provide him with the schematics to aid in his diagnosis.

thank you kind sir Smiley

It wouldn't hurt to have a copy of the service manual. If someone would provide a scan, I'm sure many EIII owners would be very happy. (Including me)

Peter.

FYI: you can buy this service manual at www.musicparts.com; it can be downloaded immediately after payment (not cheap I have to admit).
I wouldn't mind that the service manual would be available somewhere for free, but the problem is that most people have the version of musicparts, which contains a watermark on each page...

Just checked: With Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size.
Please try sending it that way. I'll let you know if it works out well.

Thanks very much for helping out. Much appreciated!

Kind regards,

Peter.

Stop with emails, please.

Try to find an FTP so everyone can take advantage of this upload, OK ?

Sorry, I have no website where I could put it up. Besides look what happened to emulatorarchive, it doesn't even show up in waybackmachine. Such a shame.......

How about these:

http://www.adrive.com/
http://www.rapidshare.com/

Some older links:

http://www.box.net/
http://www.openomy.com/
http://sendspace.com/
http://www.esnips.com/
http://www.xdrive.com/

Anyone a better idea? Let's hear it Wink

Regards,

Peter.

If you send it to my email, I can share it on the public server that I have access to. That's how I share files.
Let me know if you wanna.

Dr.C,
I assume you also have the musicparts version (because you asked for this manual yourself a while ago if I remember). I'm not the advocate of copyrights, but be aware when uploading this file if it's originating from musicparts. They will probably don't like it.
