maybe some more details would help some of the EII helpers here.

please describe the sequence of events that occurs in detail so that someone can help pinpoint your error in the startup procedure.  I would number what happens to help someone  determine during what stage the problem is occuring.

It only happens on occasion... I'll be well into sampling, editing or mapping when a note I am playing freezes and so does everything on the top panel. If I power down and power up, I can start fresh and the problem boes not occur again... until many days later. Also... When I got the EII... two keys did not trigger. I opened the EII, disconnected the keybed, removed the rubber trigger pads... cleaned the sensors and ruber pads and assembled it back. That fixed the two keys, but now thre other different ones do not trigger... what fun.

really strange...

One of my EIIs had several bugs when I got him (but the keyboard was fine). It was a pain, but I decided to pull out, clean, and reseat every chip inside the EII.

Afterwards it was like new.

Hi Guys!

One of my EIIs freezes after some time of being powered on (lets say after appx. 30 minutes).
Any ideas about what could help?

Greetz,
Elm.

Hi Elm,

have you already tried to interchange the ram ics with others from another segment? Does it run the memory test disk at all?

regards

It's Amazing how many faults in the E2 can be fixed by just reseating IC's
