Pressing the Preset Management button results in the appropriate menu being displayed. However, the LED does not light up. As you may know from my other thread, I replaced the ribbon cable between the main chassis and the front panel and successfully tested continuity for each of the 60 pins. Here's what I've done since:
1. Reflowed the connection of the LED connector soldered to the front panel PCB 2. Replaced the LED with a new LED
Any ideas what might be wrong? Thank in advance!

Could it be, the ZULU mini needs to be powered externally? see screenshot
EDIT i powered it now via USB cable.
I tried to put the OS containing EIIIOS242.img file ( from EMXP) on the 16b, fat32 formatted SD card via disc utilities, but it does not accept the image. Is the card too big maybe? thank you

I tried removing the compact flash card and left the reader (and the ACard) installed. The EIII boots! What about having the reader and the ACard installed would make the EIII boot???

Hi,
I've been running a Fuzin Monster with a Compact Flash card for a number of years. To take advantage of newer technology and it's benefits, I purchased a ZuluScsi. I think I'm running into the same problem Michaelmeinl did. If I install the ZuluSCSI with the compact flash, the EIII boots. (Much faster than with the Fuzin Monster as the EIII doesn't cycle through SCSI IDs) I then tried removing the Compact Flash and just running with the ZuluSCSI. Unfortunately, the EIII wouldn't boot and the screen never displayed anything.
When only the ZuluSCSI was installed, I tried both termination settings without success. I even tried making an image of the CF card and put it on the ZuluSCSI, but that didn't work either. (I just changed the extension from EZ3 to img)
This leads me to my next question: The ZuluSCSI works with .img files. as far as I can tell, EMXP doesn't create img files. It creates EZ3 files. How do I convert between EZ3 and img files?

Hello, i've introduced myself already in the "HELLO" section ,)
i got an EIII rack which does not boot - no floppy drive, no internal HD.
i bought a ZULUSCSI mini (i already had been using one for y KURZWEIL with good results, so i know the basics how to use it)
but the EIII does not recognize it, so here are a few q's (THANK YOU in advance!)
- i found in the forum here, on the drive has to be ZuluSCSIv1_0-1.0.9-4e2112b.bin does it mean, on the card or the ZULUSCSI firmware itself = do i have to update the fw?
- how does the SD have to be formatted? i am on mac
- i downloaded the images from EMXP - with no results.
Could one of you give me a simple step by step ? I am in no way good with deeper computer tasks ;
- the second q would be: which oled would you recommend and can i do the swap myself? i do basic upgrades like changing Eproms, simple solder tasks and stuff but am not firm at all with electronics
thank you!
