So I installed a 0.91 OLED display along with the a rotary encoder into the Gotek case.
After using it for a couple of weeks I've come to realize my eyes are having a hard time reading the display after awhile.

So I started to look into adding a larger display.
What I've been able to model up is a 5.25 floppy sled that will house a 2.42 OLED 128x64 along with the Gotek pcb and rotary encoder.

Should be allot easier to read.
I tried to upload a picture but the folder was full.

Now with Pictures
Standard Gotek case with 0.91" OLED Display on top
New 5.25" floppy sled with 2.42" OLED on the bottom.
Also working on a hardware debounce using schmitt triggers for absolute zero jitter from the rotary encoder.

I made a second version in case someone wanted to mount it in a Gotek case.
Because if it was attached to the rotary encoder it wouldn't fit.
The J2 header pins go to the rotary encoder.

Made some small revisions to the original put in the rotary encoder and was able to get rid of the one via in the routing.

3d printer arrived and I have the first prototype done just waiting on new display to arrive.
Also waiting on black ABS filament for the final version.
The display area is going to be a great improvement.

I once was blind but now I can see Grin
I could see this from 10 feet back.
No more squinting LOL.
Only problem is they sent me a white display instead of the blue one that I ordered.
Didn't notice it until I turned it on after installing it.
All that is left is printing the new bracket with a small modification out of black ABS and installing the debounce PCB once it arrives.
If any one is interested PM me.
